My go-to Essence red lips

Today's post is about my current favorite combo I go for when I want to wear red lips. I've always liked the darker red shades better, so this combination also isn't one of the "in your face" looks that are harder to wear.

The combo I am talking about is Essence Lipliner - 08 Red Blush and Essence Liquid lipstick - 06 Make a Statement.

Danas vam donosim svoju trenutno omiljenu kombinaciju za kojom posežem kada želim nositi crveni ruž. Uvijek su mi se više sviđale tamnije nijanse crvenih ruževa, pa tako ni ova kombinacija nije jedna od onih "in-your-face" koje su teže nosive.

U pitanju su Essence Lipliner - 08 Red Blush i Essence Liquid lipstick - 06 Make a Statement.

Essence Liquid lipstick - 06 Make a Statement / Essence Lipliner - 08 Red Blush

The lipstick itself comes in small plastic tube with clear bottom part so you can the the real shade. I find it cute because it looks like real lipstick. :) I wouldn't say that the lipstick from this line that Essence calls liquid lipsticks, are actual liquid lipsticks. They are more like very pigmented lip glosses. They have spongey applicator that allows you to be precise when applying it. They have sticky and thick consistency, like lip glosses and they smell like vanilla. The scent goes away instantly after applying. They will last a couple of hours on the lips, if you don't eat or drink, so be prepared for touch-ups during the day. Also it feels very comfortable on the lips.

The reason why I wear it with the lip pencil underneath is because it can be a bit patchy on itself. The lip pencil is great, just like any other Essence lip pencils, they're inexpensive, the quality is good and they last a long time on the lips.

Sam ruž dolazi u slatkom malom plastičnom pakiranju, prozirnog donjeg dijela na kojem se vidi stvarna nijansa. Fora mi je što taj dio izgleda kao ruž. :) Ne bih rekla da su ruževi iz ove Essence linije koju nazivaju tekućim ruževima ustvari pravi tekući ruževi. Više su kao jako pigmentirana sjajila i imaju glossy finiš. Dolazi sa spužvastim aplikatorom koji omogućava preciznije nanošenje. Tekstura mu je dosta ljepljiva i gusta, baš kao kod sjajila, a miriši na vaniliju. Miris se ne osjeti nakon nanošenja. Što se tiče trajnosti, izdržat će nekoliko sati ako ne piješ/jedeš ništa, tako da budi spremna na popravke tijekom dana. Isto tako, ugodan je na usnama.

Najveći razlog zašto ga nosim zajedno s olovkom je što u tanjem sloju zna biti malo patchy. Olovka je dobra kao i sve Essence olovke za usne, što cijenom, što kvalitetom i dugo traje na usnama.
